Arabic Calligraphy – Khat Naskh, Nastaleeq, and Thuluth

  • Introduction: This course introduces the beauty and discipline of Arabic calligraphy, focusing on three classical styles – Naskh, Nastaleeq, and Thuluth. Students will learn the history and techniques of each script with hands-on practice.✍️

    Purpose: To preserve and promote the traditional art of Arabic calligraphy as a form of devotion and creativity, cultivating mindfulness and patience through writing.

    Tools and Materials:

    • Qalam (Reed Pen) – for classical Arabic calligraphy strokes🖋️

    • Ink Pot (Dawat) – for traditional ink preparation and dipping

    • Black Ink / Calligraphy Ink – smooth-flowing ink for Arabic script

    • Practice Paper / Calligraphy Pad – smooth surface for clean strokes📜
